Harvest Light Approaching

This morning, in feeling the movement of August into September?s harvest time, I remembered this writing from November, 2007.

Have you seen the harvest light?

it reflects itself in the golden colors of the season

it has tinges of the unusual

especially before the fullness of the sun fills the sky

What is this harvest light?

has it found its reflections in your soul yet?

it has tinges of the unusual

especially before the fullness of the sun fills the sky.

As I enter into this phase of the summer season, I am already reaping some fruits, vegetables and flowers that nourish me. I also realize that if I have been negligent, it is not too late to attend to the garden of my soul. I have found nature to be most forgiving?at times, merciful?when I have slipped into forgetting or thoughtlessness.

So if you find yourself like me, sensing and feeling the harvest light approaching, a visit to the garden may be just what you need today.
